Director : Indra Kumar

Cast : Sanjay Dutt,Mallika Sherawat, Kangna Ranaut, Satish Kaushik, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Ritesh Deshmukh, Aashish Chaudhary

Rating:**1/2

Day one Collection : 7.65 Cr
1st week collection :25.50 Cr

Indra Kumar’s latest excursion ‘Double Dhamaal,’ a sequel to the maiden film ‘Dhamaal (2007),’ doesn’t churn out to be a better endeavor than the four year old prequel.

The pleasures of 'Double Dhamaal’ bubble up when the gangster Satish Kaushik’s character offers comic strips in his delectably funny way.
‘Double Dhamaal’ is funny, stupid and delivers all the laughs but the film oversteps when the story doesn’t try to flow and blend along with the comedy.

StorylineFour friends Adi (Arshad Warsi), Roy (Ritesh Deshmukh), Manav (Javed Jaffrey), and Adi (Arshad Warsi) are waiting to make easy money and get to see the cop turned conman living the life of luxury like a business man.

Kabir is enjoying his life and has loads of money and the company of two women, his arm candy (Sherawat) and his sister Kiya (Ranaut).

The four get irritated looking at his wealthy lifestyle. They hatch up a plan to deceive him by getting into his business. Kabir sells the government land to Batabhai (Kaushik) a gangster, who wants a change in his career. Kabir puts these four in charge of the business deal with the gangster.

After the four help him by getting 250 crores, Kabir escapes with the money and settles in Macau. After finding out that Kabir is living there and owns a casino, the four decide to take revenge by disguising themselves.

Hindi movie Review | Ready: Movie review | ratting 3.5* by My 24News

Cast: Salman Khan, Asin, Arya Babbar, Paresh Rawal, Puneet Issar, Mahesh Manjrekar

Directed by Anees Bazmee

Rating:***1/2 by My 24News

Whistle-blowers rejoice! Salman is back and this time he's ditched his belt to fiddle inside his pant pockets (read: Dhinka Chika, in case you don't have a television set at home). The thing with Salman's films is that they're in a genre of their own. A genre that cannot be graded for the story, screenplay, performances or any other metric used to evaluate other films. They can just be enjoyed or suffered, depending upon the elasticity of your tolerance. I hope you would consider this vague disclaimer before reading this review and before going to watch this monsoon musical.

But you're on this page hoping to get an idea about this film, so let's get down to business. The film is about a spoilt brat called Prem (the 14th time Salman has used this as a screen name) and his annoyingly happy family. Prem's daddy, Rajveer Kapoor (Mahesh Manjrekar) has the memory of a goldfish and he constantly portrays his disability by making vulgar physical and oral gestures to describe anything he can't re-collect. Prem also has two uncles and aunts who live together with them in their sprawling mansion spanning across Thailand, Sri Lanka and Filmcity, Goregaon. There's also a random elderly neighbour who is invariable lurking about at the Kapoor household (the only way to get into the frame?).

Anyway, the film becomes a pickled mess when a girl on the run, Sanjana (Asin) lands up at the Kapoor residence, in the guise of Prem's prospective bride. Predictably, she wins everyone's hearts with her clichéd tactics (morning bhajans, respect for elders, disrespect for Prem etc). Now, Sanjana has a dark past and even darker relations, comprising a bevy of assorted villains from the past and present who flaunt every wig in the costume box. Some of them include, Bade Mama (Sharad Saxena), Chote Mama (Akhilendra Mishra), Bade Dada (Puneet Issar) and few other non-descript Bollywood henchmen.

In Hindi films, if the good doesn't reign over evil, it can atleast trick evil into switching sides. So, the Kapoors devise the most ridiculous plan (not even worth mentioning here) to get the Chaudharys (Sanjana's uncles) to indulge in some soul cleansing, beginning with chopping off their 'chotis' (the root of all evil?).

After several songs, excessive hamming and dialogues like "Iska koi resort nahin. Isse acha hain ki aap resort book karlo" and "In that case, mere paas aaja mere suitcase", you just want to dhinka chika yourself out of the movie hall. But the movie refuses to end, as unnecessary confusions and complications pile up and you wonder if there's enough reel left to clear it all up. Luckily, your prayers are answered as this movie ends like a school play, with the dim-witted criminals realizing they've wronged and swearing to mend their ways. Sigh.

'Dhinka Chika' will surely win enough whistles and 'Character Dheela' will leave many gasping. But if you're expecting a laugh-a-thon, then you're in the wrong movie. Salman gives in his 10 percent and packages it off with 200 percent confidence and style. Asin could surely get a chance to dub for the next Chip 'n' Dale film, in case her acting career doesn't fall in place.

Luv Ka The End Reviews | Ratting :2.5/5

Cast: Shraddha Kapoor, Taha Shah, Archana Puran Singh, Errol Marks, Sreejita De
Directed by Bumpy
Rating: ** 1/2

Bubblegum romance in Hindi films has finally come of age. So, teens will still be teens but they've grown up with a healthy appetite for Southpark and Simpsons. Consequently, apart from turning their brains into pudding, this has made them more resilient to emotional turmoil and 'moving on' after a bitter break-up is as easy as opening a can of soda. And this attitudinal change is just what this film tries to portray.

If you haven't figured it out yet, 'Luv ka The End' is not a hate story but a pun on the character's name, Luv Nanda (Taaha Shah) whose girlfriend Rhea (Shraddha Kapoor) discovers his two-timing ways and decides to script his end. And Rhea is assisted by her two friends, Gollu (Errol Marks) and Sonia (Sreejita De) in planning and executing her masterplan to kick Luv's butt. And what spans out over the night before Rhea's 18th birthday, takes us on a hilarious journey of misadventures that spoilt brat, Luv Nanda is made to put up with. Some of the fun pranks include sprinkling itching powder in his undies and super glueing it to ensure longevity and drugging him enough to go all out at a crossdressing bar. You know how the story would wrap up but it doesn't matter when you're having a good time as Luv endures one nasty prank after another.

Haunted: Movie Review |Realeaed on 6th May |Ratting 3.5/5

hey guys plz go and watch this movie its really good u will enjloy it. I appreciate new comers they have done a wonderfull job. The script is very good i will give 3 and half star

The prospect of getting horrified in three-dimension could be promising. But Indian horror films have rarely gone beyond chalk-faced spirits in Halloween costumes grunting like death-metal vocalists. Here you have just that, in 3D. And the most interesting thing that pops out of the screen is one character's nose. And as incredulous as it may sound, you can actually count the blackheads and even join them to form a shape, if you will.

The story is about Rehan (Mahaakshay Chakraborty) who has just returned from the US. Appropriate look: squirrel hairdo, leather jacket, neck scarf: check. He's headed to Ooty to sell off a family property (which is haunted), so appropriate expression: bewildered: double check. In fact he probably rehearsed the expression so well that his forehead is crinkled even in one of his intimate scenes.
Once he reaches the haunted house, Glen Manor, he is welcomed by a sound similar to Hard Kaur clearing her throat mixed with rodents making love. And if this wasn't enough evidence, the spirit actually makes an appearance in the form of a piano-playing-ceiling hanging damsel from the 1930s (Tia Bajpai), who communicates her sob story through a letter. Clearly moved by her story and smitten by her beauty, our American desi boy makes his life's mission to avenge her death. And of course, he also bumps into several chalk-coated severed heads lying at different places in the sprawling mansion. He tries to confide in a friendly neighbourhood Parsi gentleman, who calls him and idiot. He shoots back, "I'm not an idiot, I am an MBA!" Sure, you can't be an idiot, unless you've bought a ticket for this movie too.
And since no Bollywood horror film is complete without the interference of religion, our dazed hero heads to the closest church, where Father (Mohan-yes-my-child-Kapoor) briefs him on spirit behaviour. 1- Spirits are most powerful at 3am and weakest at 3pm (afternoon siesta?). 2. You must never take the name of the devil (pseudo-names, pronouns- good to go). 3. To capture this evil spirit, you have to go to a Dargah (why can't Father use his own God to solve this? He only caters to Holy Spirits?). And after a dreary monologue on good over evil, he sets Rehan off on his journey to fight the spirits, armed with wishes and a promise that he would pray for him.
This movie also involves some time travel, an evil spirit raping a cute spirit, a lot of heavy breathing and a chillum-smoking 'Baba' who magically blows away wounds, brings good luck and plays another secret role in the film.
The film paints a beautiful landscape and 3D enables you to relish the foreground even better. Also, the SFX will jolt you out of your seat atleast once in the film. But the effortlessly idiotic dialogues and overuse of the word 'spirit' all point towards a half-spirited writer. The film also includes veteran actors Arif Zakaria, who is most expressive in his spooky avatar and Achint Kaur who is scary enough as her natural self, let alone otherwise. The film's music doesn't pump up the spook value but is loud enough to keep you awake.
Your parting lessons from this movie would be many. Spirits can't read, can be stabbed with wooden logs, are combustible and even though they can run on air, make and break brick walls, once left inside a latched door, they're, well, trapped. Moral of the story: if you're willing to put up with a few eerie scenes, you will be rewarded with many laughs.

Top 10 Gay Indian Films | Times Of India |TNN

Number 10)

Dunno Y… Na Jaane Kyon (2010): Though this film directed by Sanjay Sharma was screened at various international film festivals, it disappeared from our multiplexes soon after its release. It apparently features the first gay kiss (between Aryan Vaid and Kapil Sharma) in Indian cinema.

Watch it because: of the accolades it’s won, including praise for one of the actors Yuvraaj Parashar, by the state’s Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal for his sensitive portrayal of a gay character.

Number 9) Dostana (2008):

Close on the heels of Fashion, came another film starring Priyanka Chopra along with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham, who pretend to be gay.

Watch it because: Produced by a banner that was once synonymous with fluttering saris on the Swiss Alps, this was one of the first films to have two of Bollywood’s biggest stars play (wannabe) gay characters.

Number 8) Fashion (2008):

Let’s not discuss Madhur’s Bhandarkar’s story-telling skills and creativity — or the lack of that — here. Instead, let’s look at the gay fashion designer played by Samir Soni, who eventually settled for a marriage of convenience (to please society and all), with a college buddy played by Mugdha Godse.

Watch it because: it offers an almost real peek into the highs and lows of the fashion business.

Number 7)    Honeymoon Travels (2007):

This film has six couples on a bus heading for their respective honeymoons. A couple of gay married men (the openly gay hubby played by millionaire hotelier Vikram Chatwal and the not-so-openly gay one by Karan Khanna) are part of the kahani mein twist.

Watch it because: this Reema Kagti film takes a realistic look at relationships before, during and after marriage.

Number 6)My Brother Nikhil (2005):

This film by Onir is a touching depiction of strong yet fragile bonds between friends, family and lovers.  A breath of fresh air, it deals with the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS as well as the coming out of a closeted gay relationship.

Watch it because: of moving performances by Sanjay Suri (Nikhil), Purab Kohli, Juhi Chawla et al in this emotional, yet feel-good film that gets you thinking about societal prejudices.

Number 5) Girlfriend (2004):

Statutory warning: This film was found to be offensive by politico-religious fundamentalists, the gay community and any human being with an iota of intelligence. And we don’t really blame them. With titillating posters, a storyline that defied logic and caricaturish characters played by Isha Koppikar, Amrita Arora and Ashish Choudhary, we can only call this Karan Razdan film a mockery of a lesbian (or any other) relationship… a painful masquerade of so-called “stereotypes” that continue to exist.

Number 4)    Kal Ho Na Ho (2003):

Actors Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan in suggestive contortions while the maid seems to suffer convulsions with the Kantaben track playing… we don’t know if it’s supposed to allude to homoeroticism or plain homophobia.

Watch it: if you’re a fan of candy floss tearjerkers with happily-ever-after endings.

Number 3)    Mango Soufflé (2002):

Written and directed by Mahesh Dattani, who has quite a few theatre plays to his credit, this film stars Atul Kulkarni and Rinkie Khanna —Dimple Kapadia’s younger daughter; remember her? When a gay fashion designer invites various “friends” for a dinner party, it’s time for various secrets to come out of the closet.

Number 2)    Bomgay (1996):

In the same year as Fire, came a 12-minute gem of a short film called BomGay by late activist-director Riyad Wadia. Inspired by R. Raj Rao’s gay poems and featuring Rahul Bose and Kushal Punjabi, it’s poetry on celluloid.

Watch it because: This film questions complex gay identity and the burgeoning gay community in 1990s India via six vignettes.

Number 1) Fire (1996):

One of the first films to depict a lesbian relationship, Deepa Mehta’s film starring Shabana Azmi and Nandita Das remains somewhat synonymous with the subject of homosexuality, even 15 years down the line. Here, two women come together to fulfil their passions not out of choice but due to the lack of acknowledgement from their spouses. Hindu fundamentalists rioted in certain movie theaters because the “culprit” characters had Hindu names (Radha and Sita) and not Muslim names, which led to an eventual ban for religious insensitivity.
